But then, what's even sadder is the number of people for whom prophecy hasn't failed even now - I suppose the thinking is that the aliens have landed, but they're the extra special spooky walking-through-walls kind who only contact those who are ready to believe. Which is actually very Festinger - from "they're going to go public some time soon, and then you'll see how special I am" to "they're never going to go public, they only appear to me, and that's how special I am".Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07009879034507926661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1485997200234349788.post-73318863240656372022013-02-06T16:14:23.138+00:002013-02-06T16:14:23.138+00:00Since writing the above I notice Keyhoe makes the ...Since writing the above I notice Keyhoe makes the same mistake over Smith's first name, several times. It certainly sounded far more impressive then than now. What I did not know then was that Keyhoe was a former fiction writer, of aviation yarns.

By the way, please do not confuse Wilbur Smith, a current novelist until recently resident in southern Africa, with the Canadian engineer and UFO kook, Wilbert B. Smith. The latter can be safely described as the unwitting originator of the infamous MJ-12 papers.

cdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005702597775594084noreply@blogger.com
