THE BRAINS IN SPAIN

Nigel Watson reports:

From the 27 to 28 May 2015, La Casa Encendida ('The House on Fire'), Madrid, held a series of talks by UFO experts about the historical origins and foundations of modern UFO beliefs and theories. The star guest was Jacques Vallee, and it was great to actually meet the inspiration for so much on this website and who influenced the creation of Magonia magazine, and Peter Rogerson’s INTCAT project.

A GRAND DAY OUT!

I want to thank everyone who was responsible for the excellent ‘London Lore’ conference held on Saturday 25th at the Bishopsgate Institute in London. Brilliantly organised by Scott Wood, from the South East London Folklore Society (SELFS), it presented a packed schedule of talks on London lore and legend, rumour and ritual. I’m sorry that I neglected to promote the event here, but as the venue was packed, I doubt Magonia’s intervention would have made much of a difference.

DESERT YAWN

Those serious ufologists over on UFO UpDates are always terribly worried that mainstream science and the mainstream media don't take them seriously. Why, they demand, do news-stories about UFO sightings always come out with the same silly X-File quips? Why don't scientists realise that there is a serious field of study in the UFO subject? Why, oh why, will no-one take us seriously?
